Complete trash!!!
Terrible filter! Terrible product! The original filter that came with a brand new refrigerator lasted one month before it only put out a trickle of water. I replaced the filter with this travesty of a recommendation filter which only lasted two weeks before it only put out a trickle of water. Take the filter out and lots of water from the water dispenser. Put it back in and it’s a trickle. That means it’s a bad filter. Do better with your product Whirlpool! Also, before you say it, I don’t want to hear how long it last depends on the water. Our previous (300 gallon) Samsung filter lasted a year and never clogged up. Absolute trash!!!

Issue with this filter!
We have changed our water filter several times since our refrigerator purchase on 4-29-2024 and have the same issue each time. At first, the water flow is great. Within 6 weeks, the water flow slows down by at least half. With the water filter removed, the water flow is great and we have no problems with water flow everywhere else in the house. There are only 2 adults using the water/ice in the refrigerator. What is the issue with these filters? Is anyone looking into this problem? It is very expensive to replace them this often when they should last much longer. The filters were purchased on a whirlpool subscription and an authorized whirlpool dealer. I am seeking a solution to this issue.

No longer believe in Whirlpool's value and honesty
I am extremely disappointed in reading these reviews as I have just started to look for a new filter. If this is the case, and Whirlpool has purposefully built a faulty product AND designed it to use a filter that runs out too quickly, is extremely expensive, and hard to find, then that seems to be close to fraudulent. I will look for another option, and if necessary, get one more filter and limit the water and ice usage until I can bet rid of this appliance until I get rid of this and buy ANOTHER MANUFACTURER's GOOD PRODUCT THAT IS HONEST AND RELIABLE.

Arrived broken, how do I even return or exchange?
This is the first filter I ordered direct from Whirlpool, and it arrived with smashed packaging and a broken outlet. I clicked around the website a while looking for a way to return or exchange the filter and found nothing until I started reading the one-star reviews, where customer service was offered via Facebook, Instagram, or an 800-number. Welcome back to the '90s. Why isn't a 'report a problem' selection included on the order summary in my account? This is frighteningly poor, I'm hoping that ongoing I can get usable filters for my expensive new refrigerator.

Everydrop Filter - LEAKS!!!
i purchased the exact replacement filter from Whirlpool (as opposed to any other vendor/manufacturer) expecting it to perform 100%. The filter continues to leak. Water is everywhere in my refrigerator!! I have reinstalled, checked the O-rings to no avail. Then upon reaching out for Whirlpool customer service, It has been ABSOLUTELY impossible to connect to anyone to get a resolution (replacement or refund). Why would i ever buy from you all again if products are substandard/inferior and customer service can't be reached for assistance. I even called the number referenced from another's post regarding the same issue. Don't buy!

Horrible Filtering and Marketing Scam
Bought this fridge on July 3 and here we are in September and the filter already needs to be replaced. Am I expected to spend $60 on a filter that is supposed to last 6 months that only lasts really 2 months? I can't buy any compatible filters anywhere for a more reasonable price. This is false marketing

Whirlpool is selling refrigerators that you can’t buy replacement filters for. Had I known that, I wouldn’t have bought the overpriced thing. So what good is this fridge/freezer when I can’t make ice

Buyer Beware
The overpriced/hard to find filters for this WHIRLPOOL refrigerator are worthless. They are supposed to last 6 months and I only get 2-3 months out of them before I have to replace them. Unbelievable waste of $60 (yes,$60). If you are thinking about buying a WHIRLPOOL refrigerator do your self a favor and buy another brand. The customer service department could care less and they will only offer you another filter for $60. Good luck!
