Now, Dec 2024, it has chipped paint and rust spots on the inside and around the door despite being very well taken care of. It has worked well, but I’d expect the inside finish to last a lot longer.

I called Whirlpool and they agreed to replace it, but it took several weeks to receive it. The replacement lasted about a year and it quit also. Then I went to WalMart and bought a $79 Hamilton Beach and am still using it. The Whirlpool cost around $229.

Eventually it began to break down, various functions giving up the ghost until the start button would no longer work at all- After much searching I was unable to find a another I liked as well that fit my space, matched my other appliances, also unable to find this same model except as a closeout from the manufacturer. Pleased to have been able to obtain this replacement and hope it lasts at least as long as the last.
