Rated 1 out of 5 by Rebecca from Piece of junk and their warranty service is a scam I would give me 0 star if that’s an option. The machine takes 4 to 5 hours to dry a load. It also would pause and make this screeching sound for half an hour every time we use the machine. We have had it for less than 2 years and have extended warranty. When their warranty service came, they told us this is all normal and refuse to do anything. Rated 1 out of 5 by MaciCat from Failed Filter Design It needs to be recalled! Terrible design. Lint and pet fur gets past the double filter and into the machine. I clean the filters every time. Then the loud squealing started! Called the tech and they have the machine as being purchased a year and a half ago. I've had it under a year! They have the distributors purchase date in their system and the tech couldn't do anything. It would be over $800 to repair! And if the inside of this machine looks like the other reviews, this has to be a fire hazard! Dissatisfied with the product and customer service. Whirlpool missed the mark on this one!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Cjc2014 from Do Not Buy this Dryer. you will hate life! I hate this dryer. We keep using it as we wait for whirlpool to send notice of a massive recall and it never happens! Once a year I need to take a full day off from life to open the 28 screws in the back, remove the entire front and drip and set the pieces around the house in order of assembly and vacuum out enough lint to fill a 55 gallon trash bag. This is not an exaggeration. The filters do not work. The lint passes right through the dryer and fill it up. There is a vent on back that should be blowing out fresh air. They recommend cleaning this vent occasionally. I do this. But it doesn't matter because the vent never fills up. The lint builds deep inside. So deep in fact that one must disassemble the entire machine to get at it. It is a frigging joke. Laundry takes many hours to dry. Sometimes 3 or 4 or more if you catch it and start it again after cleaning the lint traps for the third time in a load, and you pull it out and it is still wet and has the sour laundry smell. Thanks whirlpool. P.s. we also clean the secondary hybrid care filter every load and have for several years. Our home is almost always covered with damp clothes we lay out in the sun to dry after a load runs through dryer. Word to the wise: don't be fooled. This is a garbage machine. Whirlpool duet hybrid care dryer. Purchased in 2017. After a year it stopped working and has been the same ever since. No whirlpool mechanic will repair it. They know what it requires and it would cost us a good $600 to have them do the work because there is no easy and fast way. And watch time you do it we are replacing the belt as well. And sometimes the rollers. They should have tested this system better. Makes me so mad they sold it. And that they never recalled it.

Problem is, you can't actually clean it. And dirt build up inside the evaporator and there is no way of getting it out. These things are absolute garbage. Don't ever buy a heat pump dryer!!
