Rated 1 out of 5 by AWB27 from Broke after 3 months. I bought this dryer in June and it broke during the first week of September due to an electronics issue. The repair technician comes out and says they need to order parts on September 6th. We find out the parts are on back order and assuming they don’t come in they won’t do anything further until at least September 26th at which point they will tell us the next steps. I am without a Dryer for at least a Month, possibly longer due to this warranty policy. Whirlpool won’t compensate in any way or confirm what happens if the part is unavailable by September 26th. I am frustrated by the warranty process being so slow for a critical daily use appliance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Denise from Horrible lint trap on top! My family and I are very disappointed with this dryer! It has been a thorn in our side. The lint trap is the worst ! It is on top of the dryer and when you try to remove the lint it falls back down into the machine which stops the dryer from doing its job. I've tried everything to remove lint in every way. I purchased a special tool to try to grab it so it doesnt turn loose and fall back down, but nothing helps. The dryer stays damp and gets barely warm closes can turn for hours and never comes close to drying. Ive taken dryer apart and tried to remove lint but it still is a very. POOR dryer! I wish it was one with the trap inside!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bowie from Good but far for great for a mid-range dryer I bought this a month ago knowing it was mid to low range in comparative features. I did not want nor feel I needed the added electronic functions that higher priced models possess. What causes me to rate this a 3 star is I was disappointed with the basic quality of materials especially the dryer door. Something like the door which you touch each use feels like it weighs maybe 1-2 pounds made of recycled aluminum beer cans. It is so light you have to slam it to get it to close which rocks the entire dryer requiring repositioning it. I guess the other trade off was low to now insulation making the unit louder than expected for the mid range dryer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jim Tn from Very low finished drying signal. Purchased 3 weeks ago and am very pleased with the machine. I just have one thing that I'm not happy with. At the end of the drying cycle, it is supposed to let me know that it is finished drying. However, the signal is so light, and only does one little beep, you cannot hear it. I sit within 15 feet of the dryer and even though it's in an area with a door, I should be able to hear it so I can remove the clothes before they get wrinkled. I wish it was louder and beeped mor the one time. My previous Whirlpool set sounded 3 times when the washer was done, and 4 times when the dryer was done. Anyway, it's a good product but the next time I'll research more.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Susan 46307 from Useless Steam Option We bought this March 7 and after using it for about one month I had to touch a shirt up so I used the steam option it left a puddle of water on my floor in front of the dryer. I spoke with the salesman that sold it to us and he set up a service call The repairman came and asked about how many items I had in the dryer when I used the steam option I told him ONE The problem as he explained was I needed to have more items in the dryer to prevent water from the STEAM OPTION from puddling on my floor. What a useless feature if it spews water onto my floor. My Whirlpool from 2011 didn’t do that while using STEAM OPTION. POOR DESIGN.

Rated 1 out of 5 by CDS Home from Terrible service Door does not close properly Big Kountry Appliance Repair LLC came to repair issue and the did not. They unhooked the water line and reattach it. The told us to call back if it did not fix the issue. They said just keep calling in. Called whirlpool to get service and no one will come out to fix our dryer. All we get is calls stating no one is coming out after we were told by whirlpool they would get a service company to come out for our repair on a dryer that is 30 days old. Very unexpected we have bought whirlpool for years and never had this type of issues.
